Infrastructure

INFRASTRUCTURE

The College is backed by the following infrastructural facilities.

 

LIBRARY:

The College has a well-stocked library with a wide ranging books and journals. The books are perio- dically updated with latest editions. The College library has large number of books and journals. All books and journals have been computerized. As a result, the stock of books and journals and their easy availability is realized. Attached to the library, a reading room accommodating about 50 students which is used for reference purpose

 

LABORATORY:

The college has wide equipped Laboratories in department of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with adequate number of demonstrator,storekeeper and attendants to assist the students for conducting practicals.

 

COMPTER LAB:

A Computer Laboratory with 15 Computers has been installed for +2 and +3 stream.It offers a basic learning four set in computer science to the students for their better career prospects.

 

E-Admission Cell:

Student Academic Management System Laboratory has been opened for e-admission of +2 1st Yr. Arts / Sc.And +3 1st yr. Arts /Sc.Students. Trained teachers and staff are engaged to conduct the admission as per Govt.Scheduled dates.

 

HOSTEL:

One recognized hostel for boys and one for girls with total capacity of 60 are provided for students coming from par off place. Hostels are well furnished and equipped with all minimum facilities for inmates.

 

GAMES AND SPORTS:

The college is privileged to have a play ground covering an area of 75 decimals just in front of the main building. It has adequate sports infrastructure and equipments to enable students practicing various indoor and outdoor games with a competent coach to look after the games and athletic activities.

 

HEALTH CENTRE:

The college has a health centre where the students get their health checked-up periodically by a qualified doctor. Medicines are readily available for students who get injuries and succumb to any ailment.

CANTEEN:

The college canteen provides tea and fast food to students and staff as well. It occasionally prepares meals for guests who visit the college and reside in the college guest house. The college guest house is facilitated with all modern amenities. It accommodates resource persons, invited scholars, inspection teams who visit the college for academic or administrative purpose.

 

DEBATE CLUB:

Constituted of senior faculty members the debate club conducts different competitions and discussions conducted in regular intervals through out the year.

 

AUDITORIUM:

The college has an auditorium which has a sitting capacity of 300. Debate, Discussions, Cultural programs, seminars and important meeting are regularly conducted in this auditorium.

 

CARRER GUIDANCE AND PLACEMENT CELL:

Two grievances redressal cells are in operation to resolve the problems of the students and the staff (both boys and girls and employees).

 

ALUMINI:

There is an Alumini Association Consisting of Old students of the college with the principal as its ex-office chairperson. It has an Executive council with president.

 

ANTI-RAGGING CELL:

Anti ragging cell consisting of 3 teaching staff members has been constitued to prevent Ragging inside the college campus.

 

WOMEN ANTI HARASSMENT CELL, & SECURITY OF GIRLS STUDENTS CELL:

This cell has been constitued with two Ladies and one Gents Teaching staff members to protect & ensure security to women and girls students to the college.

 

R.T.I CELL:

R.T.I. cell has been constitued with two teaching staff members as P/O.

The information asked are properly replied during stipulated time frame.

 

ECO-CLUB AND NSS:

Two programme officers for +2 and +3 streams has been appointed to conduct N.S.S. programmes during vacation.These programmes infuses the sense of community srvice among the N.S.S. volunteers.

 

RED RIBBON CLUB:

One programme officer has been appointed to aware students about HIV and AIDS.

 

RED CROSS:

One programme officer has been appointed to conduct Red Cross activities and Blood Donation Camp.

 

VACATIONAL EDUCATION:

One Govt. Jr. Vocational school is working to provide Vocational Eduation to students in Radio and T.V . & Office management.

 

COURSES:

This college offers courses at CHSE , Odisha and undergraduate Level in Arts as well as Science with affiliated strength 256 in Arts, 64 in Science at CHSE and 192 in Arts and 64 in Science at UG along with Honours teaching facilities.

This college also houses a fully Government Sponsored Vocational training programme at Council Level.
